Titled Italian Food: Seize the Moment – Business Models and Strategies to Tackle International Markets, the Summit will be an opportunity to analyze scenarios, strategies and business models to better manage the development of italian food in international markets. Number1 subscribes #parmaiocisto

Number1 is a signatory to #parmaiocisto, long-term initiative promoted by Associazione Parma 2020 (with headquarters a Parma in ponte Caprazucca 6) to support and fuel the revitalization of the area. The goal is to enhance on Parma as city and province dynamic, projected into a future of socio-economic welfare, focusing on livability and intellectual vivacity. “Parma, io ci sto!” is a project dedicated to the future of Parma, for current and future generations can be lucky enough to receive an area rich in values, opportunities and talents with which to continue this journey.  The project was presented to a hundred representatives ideals of Parma that “not giving up”: intellectuals, athletes, scientists, students, professionals, managers. The founders of the Association “Parma 2020” is Barilla Spa, Chiesi Farmaceutici Spa, Dallara Automobili Spa, Fondazione Cariparma and Unione Parmense degli Industriali with the aim to act directly for the future of the territory.

How did the initiative was born #parmaiocisto

Once Parma was a wealthy provincial town. Here Parma saw the light the first newspaper of Italy, Giuseppe Verdi, Arturo Toscanini, Attilio Bertolucci and other geniuses of music and poetry were born and raised in a place where history has left its mark. Here was recognized the food culture: the city that brought the best of Italian food in the world, was today awarded the title of “Creative City of Gastronomy UNESCO”.

After a period of stagnation, Parma rekindles the engines and create a new energy. Institutions, citizens and representatives of the business world have chosen to get involved by focusing on those excellence that have always been the added value of this territory: agribusiness, training and innovation, music and culture, tourism and recreation. The campaign #parmaiocisto started with writing about Manifesto per Parma that encapsulates the aims of the project. Among the first 100 signers reading illustrious names of entrepreneurs but also representatives of the school, sport, music, University and trade

This is just the beginning of a campaign that sees so involved some citizens alongside familiar faces who recognize in Parma their city. People who love her and Parma lives and that, for this, wanted to get involved to say. #parmaiocisto. As entrapeneurs of Number1.

THE GOOD FOOD, OUR CULTURE, TOURISM AND RECREATION, THE TRAINING AND THE INNOVATION, there are four chapters of Manifesto per Parma initialled by the signatory parmensi parmigiani and 100 of all ages: entrepreneurs, students, traders, gathered symbolically to return to the city of Parma international recognition of uniqueness.

Conference Parma, 18-03

Renzo Sartori, General Manager of Number1 Logistics Group, will be among the protagonists of the International Conference “Accelerating the path to Digital Transformation of Italian manufacturing sector” to be held tomorrow starting from 10.00 at Parma Trade Show (Sala B, Padiglione 7 of Mecspe).

“Innovation is in our DNA”, said Sartori, “it is not by chance that the distinctive feature of Number1 is always developing innovation in all its areas: technological, of process and product. The food and FMCG markets are expanding in Southern Italy: Italian food excellence can resume from the South

Southern Italian districts have resumed growth faster than the rest of Italy thanks to their farming-food specialisation. The food production sector potential is closely tied to quality, competitiveness and extensive logistics services, and not even Southern Italy is an exception, with extremely interesting growth potential. The Milan Polytechnics Contract Logistics Observatory data, revealed at the convention, and the figures on the FMCG market presented by the IRI, Information Resources company during the event prove this.

“A new dialogue between companies that control different segments in the same value chain”

Logistics is increasingly becoming strategic leverage in the management of a large “Corporation-Country” like Italy. The closer the association between industry and distribution, the higher the probability that efficiency and new added value are generated in the system.

NUMBER 1 not only came to Naples to confirm the business relations it consolidated in an important food area in the nation, but mainly because industry professionals need to brainstorm together on how to contribute to recovery by rethinking and reorganising some economic processes in the business system.

Trust is rebuilt through new types of dialogue between companies that control different segments in the same value chain.

Italian food excellence resumes from the South

Partnership is the key model for an innovative and efficient food sector supply chain. This is, in brief, the key message that emerged from the “Italian food excellence resumes from the South – Ideas, strategies, opportunities for growth in Italy and abroad” conference organised by Number 1 in association with FOOD Magazine and sponsored by the Industrial Union of Naples, held last Thursday, July 9th at the union’s offices in Naples.

A significant event for the entire sector, attracting large crowds and sector players, where Number 1 brought together leading Italian and Southern Italian food manufacturers, primary LRT group managers as well as some institutional representatives.

“Italian food excellence resumes from the South – Ideas, strategies, opportunities for growth in Italy and abroad” conference organised by NUMBER 1 in association with FOOD Magazine and sponsored by the Industrial Union of Naples, will be held on Thursday, July 9th at the union’s offices in Naples. A significant event for the entire sector where NUMBER 1 will bring together leading Italian and Southern Italian food manufacturers, primary LRT group managers as well as some institutional representatives.

The goal of the conference is to bring manufacturers, retailers, market and supply chain managers to discuss the many facets of Italian food sector growth potential, with special focus on the opportunities that can emerge from greater synergy between manufacturers, logistics and distributors in terms of Italian and Southern Italian food sector project development capabilities and competitiveness.

Partnership in logistics between NUMBER 1 and Pernigotti

Pernigotti, the famous Gianduiotto manufacturer specialised in the production of chocolate, nougat, Easter eggs and ice cream mix, chose Number 1 to manage its logistics.

The partnership, launched in June 2015, was formed to manage the Piedmont company’s logistics: from shuttle service from the Novi Ligure factory to the Parma warehouse hub to end customer delivery, including the management of goods receiving, warehousing and order preparation in distribution platforms. Co-packing will be particularly significant employing about 30 people in peak periods.

Number 1 with Pomorete at EXPO 2015

Number 1 will attend EXPO 2015 with Pomorete project companies, the first Italian tomato supply chain. From May 4th to 10th, Number 1 will participate in the world expo at the Pomorete stand in Piazzetta Piacenza, near the Italian Pavilion.

Number 1 will narrate its experience in Pomorete, a project it is helping to develop, providing its excellence as logistics operator specialised in food sector logistics and attentive to sustainability and Green Logistics topics. All aspects that go well together with the key Expo topics: the world’s nutritional future, food as energy for life and the future of humanity and its environment.

Number 1 expands its team…and invests in young talents

Ten young talents between the ages of 25 and 27, with degrees in business engineering and business administration, have joined the Number 1 staff. The goal of the new hire project at Number 1 is to invest in young talents to introduce new strengths and ideas in the company.

It is a strategic action for Number 1 for the 2015-2017 three-year period, a medium-term project that aims to set up a course that helps to identify people’s interests and inclinations.
